Academic background

Elisabeth is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Witten/Herdecke, an institution known for its ideological connection to anthroposophy. The university adopts a holistic educational approach, integrating spiritual, intellectual, and practical dimensions of human development while maintaining a strong emphasis on scientific inquiry and research.

With a keen interest in clinical psychology and psychological research, Elisabeth is committed to building a career in this field upon completion of her studies.

Her academic journey is driven by a deep interest in clinical psychology, particularly in understanding emotional processes, therapeutic change, and the intersection of research and psychotherapy. She is especially drawn to evidence-based approaches that combine the relational depth of therapy with structured methodologies.

Her internship at CiEFT represents a valuable opportunity to deepen her understanding of research methodologies, gain hands-on experience, and explore potential career pathways within the field of psychotherapy and clinical research.

Elisabeth plans to continue her training in clinical psychology after completing her undergraduate degree, with the goal of contributing to both scientific research and therapeutic practice. She is passionate about exploring how clinical interventions can be lead to change, and how research can illuminate and improve therapeutic outcomes.

Research Internship at CiEFT

During her internship at the Center for Emotion-Focused Therapy (CiEFT), Elisabeth is actively involved in research-related activities. Her responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the coordination and execution of ongoing clinical research projects.
  • Assisting with data organization, literature reviews, and preparation of research materials.
  • Engaging with Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) frameworks and tasks, deepening her knowledge of experiential and process-oriented psychotherapies
  • Participating in team discussions that integrate academic theory with clinical insight.

The internship offers Elisabeth the opportunity to bridge theory with practice, expand her understanding of therapeutic processes, and gain hands-on experience in a professional psychological research setting.

If you are passionate about clinical research and you want to become a research intent at our centre feel free to reach out to us.
