This past week, we had the pleasure of conducting a two-day course on Emotional Intelligence (EI) with the management team of Eurogate – a leading company in the industry of transportation. Dr Christina Michael facilitated the group of managers from different departments. The course underscored the importance of cultivating emotional intelligence in the workplace and how this can be done through daily practices. Seeing how big companies include Emotional Intelligence in their trainings is very important for us, as it aligns perfectly with our vision of fostering healthier and more emotionally literate professional environments.
At the heart of our work is a simple but powerful belief: emotional intelligence is the cornerstone of a thriving workplace. By equipping managers with these essential skills, we are contributing to a ripple effect that will enhance the professional and personal lives of countless individuals. The course aligns seamlessly with our vision of creating workplaces where collaboration, inclusion, and innovation can flourish.
Why Emotional Intelligence Matters at Workplace?
Emotional Intelligence is more than a buzzword; it is a vital skill that enhances leadership, strengthens teams, and drives overall organizational success. Over the course of two days, we delved into key EI principles such as self-awareness, empathy, self-regulation, motivation, and effective communication. Managers learned how to identify and work through their own emotions while recognizing and positively influencing the emotions of their teams.
For companies, this translates into better decision-making, improved conflict resolution, and a culture where employees feel valued and understood. As one of the participants aptly put it, “This course has opened my eyes to the importance of empathy in leadership and how it can transform not just teams but the entire organization.“
Looking Ahead
As we wrapped up the course, participants left with practical tools to foster a culture of emotional awareness and understanding within their teams. A company’s commitment to investing in EI training demonstrates forward-thinking leadership that prioritizes both people and performance – and we absolutely aim to collaborate with such companies!
We are incredibly proud to partner with organizations that recognize the value of emotional intelligence in achieving long-term success. Together, we are shaping the future of work, one emotionally intelligent leader at a time. Thank you to the people of Eurogate for inviting us and organising the training with so much care.
