Hybrid Emotion Focused Therapy – Level 2
📈 We were delighted to offer an intensive Level 2 EFT for individuals in November in collaboration with the Emotion Focused Therapy Institute of England. Graduates who successfully completed the course have completed the training component for ISEFT Level A Certification.
📚EFT Level 2 was a very hands-on advanced skills training with a lot of supervised skills practice sessions. With a spotlight on empathy, presence, tracking and attunement, Level 2, helped professionals consolidate learning from EFT level 1 and to learn more about EFT Case Formulation, variants of advanced chairwork, Self-interruption and emotional numbness, Emotional Change Processes, Emotion Schemes, Vulnerability and Self-soothing. It was a privilege to have a group of therapists from mixed therapeutic backgrounds including CBT,DBT, ACT, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and of different cultures including Irish, Greek, English, Greek-Cypriot, Turkish-Cypriot etc. The group participants received in-depth skills of the steps and the stages of the tasks through a combination of brief lectures, video demonstrations, case discussions, and extensive skills practice as being both the therapist and the client in small break out rooms supervised by the trainers – Dr Christina Michael and Dr Anna Oldershaw. With this opportunity we want to thank the Director of the EFT Institute in England for the very professional collaboration from beginning to end. We are delighted to announce that our collaboration will continue through the form of more trainings and through offering EFT group supervision to professionals. You can find more about these in our newsletter.
Connecting mental health professionals with cutting edge trainings is very important to us and is a big part of our mission. Putting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at the list of priorities for mental health practitioners in Cyprus has been a major goal for us since day one! In many countries CPD is mandatory so as for mental health practitioners to keep their license. We truly believe that CPD needs to become mandatory in Cyprus so that therapists keep up-to-date with latest developments, improve their skills and provide better care to clients. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a vital component of the professional growth, efficacy and ethical practice of mental health practitioners, including psychologists, counselors, social workers, and psychiatrists. CPD ensures that professionals remain up-to-date with advancements in research, therapeutic techniques, and ethical practices, enabling them to provide the highest standard of care to their clients.
This year our Institute offered three different hybrid EFT skills group supervision; mental health professionals from Finland, London and Greece were able to move through their EFT certification and to become Certified internationally through our institute. We want to say a massive thank you to all of you for trusting us for your Continuing Professional Development this year.
